Black follows, about eight percent, dense and weighty like ink blots. Pink comes in softer tones, about five percent, gentle and blushing, while sky blue patches, another five percent, float coolly like fragments of air. Finally, faint violet, about two percent, hides at the edges, subtle and almost missed until closely examined. The transitions between these colors and the beige are sharp — no blending, each mark stands separate, abrupt, and confident.
There is no medallion, no border, no framing. Your hands move directly to the rug’s edge where the wool stops in a neat, serged finish. There is no fringe, the corners are plain, and the field remains free. The scatter design is asymmetrical and simple: marks appear without order, as though they were placed by chance, like confetti landing where it may. The motifs themselves are irregular dots and blots, geometric only in their raw simplicity.
Walking barefoot, the surface feels cushioned, springy, warm and insulating. The wool is dense and plush underfoot, yet uneven, each step encountering a slightly different height. Turning the rug over, the back reveals the coarse knot structure, simple and tribal, evidence of its handmade origin.
