About Arsin Rug Gallery’s History and Dallas Showroom

Tell us about the background of Arsin Rug Gallery and how the Dallas Design District Showroom came to be.
Arsin Rug Gallery was born out of a family business. James Arsin, the showroom owner, has continued on his father’s legacy of supplying rugs that originated from Tehran’s famous Grand Bazaar. James originally opened his showroom on Slocum Street and decided he wanted a larger space and a greater presence in the Design Center to showcase his handmade pieces.

We enjoy the community the Design District holds. We enjoy partnering with other showrooms and seeing familiar faces during all of the exciting networking events.

We are lucky enough to have the resources and flexibility to be able to “make it work.” Furthermore, Arsin Rug Gallery has a repairman onsite who is always altering the sizes of rugs to make them work for each unique space.

We love that antiques are having a comeback! We love that more and more designers are not afraid of using traditional Persian rugs with their bright colors and red backgrounds. We have a vast inventory of handed-down antiques and hope to be able to show all of them off very soon!
