The Rug Market in the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex

My name is David Rejebian. Since 1934, my family has been in the Oriental Rug business in Dallas, TX. Our company, Rejebian and Son, began in Titche’s Department Store in downtown Dallas. We later moved to Snider Plaza in University Park. And now, I have joined Arsin Rug Gallery, as I begin the last phase of my Oriental Rug career.

I was extremely fortunate to benefit from having one of the best teachers that one could have in the Oriental Rug business, my father, and grandfather. I believe that they were responsible in large measure for making Dallas the rug market that it is. Our goal was always to educate the customer while providing rugs for their home. People still, to this day, talk about their “Rejebian Rug!”

In those days, Dallas was quite a bit smaller, and most of our customers were the Park Cities, Highland Park, and University Park; Oak Cliff, including Kessler Park, Lakewood in East Dallas, and Preston Hollow, which was North Dallas, and Richardson. Along with Fort Worth, and the surrounding cities of Wichita Falls, Tyler, Longview, Waco, and other towns in North Texas.

But how the Metroplex has grown! Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney…all the way to Prosper and Celina.

Today, at Arsin Rug Gallery, our goal is still to educate the customer, provide good quality rugs and carpets, and the level of service that we would, ourselves, expect.

At Arsin Rug Gallery, our inventory is broad. Rugs from every major weaving area are represented. Iran (Persia), India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, and China. We have new carpets as well as old and antique rugs.

Our Sultanabad and Oushak Collections are woven with painstaking detail in both design and color. And we have a large selection of Moroccan designed carpets from Afghanistan.

If you are looking for contemporary and modern designs, we have many rugs in all sizes and colors.

And our antique rug collection has been assembled over many, many years of selective buying. Serapi, Oushak, Fereghan Sarouk, Isphahan, Kashan, Tabriz, Qum, Nain, Mahal, Bidjar, Heriz, Karadja, Bakshaish, Kerman, Khotan, Sultanabad, Caucasian, and Turkish….if you are interested in an antique carpet, we probably have it.

Wherever you are in the Dallas area, we are close to you, in The Dallas Design Center. And if you are not, we are equally as close at www.arsinruggallery.com, where our entire inventory of over 8000 rugs is online for you to see.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
